Hydrogen
What is about hydrogen that makes it so attractive as source of energy? Quite simple: During it’s conversion to power no harmful emissions are produced and the result is only simple water. Therefore, hydrogen is the ideal energy source.

However there are also problems with the hydrogen. There is no natural amount of hydrogen that could be applied. The main part of hydrogen is bound in water (H2O). The hydrogen cab be obtained by electrolysis (or other suitable procedures) and then must be stored with the help of suitable procedures.

In order to win electricity again with help of the hydrogen then, the so-called, fuel cell is used. This fuel cell then produces directly power with a very high efficiency. Of course hydrogen can be burned also in a combustion engine but with a much lower efficiency like in any other combustion engines as most energy is turned into heat and not power.

Prior to the conditions of increasing environmental impact and the dismantling of fossil fuel reserves take place the elaboration of new energy sources is crucial for the future industrial society. Renewable sources of energy must switch place with fossil fuels, from whose burn carbon dioxide results, which is considered as a greenhouse gas directly implicated in the warming of the terrestrial environment.
So the ideal power source for the transport and the ecologically friendly energy is hydrogen. It is produced with electric energy out of water, ideally with the help of regenerative energy like water, wind or sun power.
Since exclusively water is created with its return conversion from energy, e.g. with the help of fuel cells, an energy cycle emerges without environmental impacts.
With this ideal source of energy it will be possible to produce electric energy in certain parts of the world and to transport it into other countries.
Hydrogen is a universal storage mean. It can be made of all renewable energy sources and is flexibly usable. Beside an improved integration in the existing (central) electricity supply, hydrogen opens an access in additional market segments for the renewable energy. This is on the one hand the decentralized power house supply, on the other hand, above all, the traffic sector, while "green" hydrogen will play a significant role (see illustration) as an ecologically friendly fuel in future. Also the use of hydrogen as an industrial raw material is possible
